Have you been looking for a VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY? Do you enjoy working with CHILDREN? Do you want to help make the community better, but you DON’T HAVE MUCH TIME? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, BOPSOP IS THE PROGRAM FOR YOU!

BOPSOP is a youth mentoring program that partners students at Georgia Tech with elementary students and middle school students at Magnolia Park, located less than 5 miles from campus. Georgia Tech students mentor and tutor youth at Magnolia Park once each week for eight weeks during the semester. By becoming a part of this program, you commit to spend three hours with your mentees each week on the day of your choice, Monday through Thursday, and attend two parties held for the youth. BOPSOPs also take the youth on one field trip.

Again, the program is a semester long commitment. BOPSOPs will meet at Georgia Tech and ride over to Magnolia Park via the provided transportation unless a BOPSOP would like to provide his or her own transportation. Should you have questions, comments, or concerns, send them to bopsop@gatech.edu.
